My War Eagle heart grew HEAVY when I learned of your death. Met Mr. Langner several years ago and almost bought a car from him. He was a great/kind man and WAS/ALWAYS WILL BE an Auburn HERO! Never DOUBT THAT! My sympathies to his family - especially his son Brad - and MAY your PRECIOUS memories COMFORT YOU ALL in the days and weeks ahead. Rest WELL, BRAVE WARRIOR, as you have crossed that blue and orange river into Auburn Heaven! We'll think of you EVERY TIME the Auburn eagle flies!
In DEEPEST sympathy and ETENALLY WAR EAGLE,
Steven

Met David about 8 years ago and i remember 2 things from that first meeting. He was an optimist and he was a fair person. He was good to anyone he could be good to and he cared about everybody he met. I am proud to have been able to call him a friend. Rest in Peace.

I met David about 12-13 years ago when he came into the antique store I owned at the time and purchased an old suitcase. He paid with a credit card, and as I swiped it, I saw the name, looked up, and asked, "You wouldn't happen to be. . ." He interrupted me, smiled, and said, "I'm the one." He was such an unassuming gentleman, that the sting of that game in 1972 went away, for I have been a lifelong Bama fan. I gave up my ticket to that game to a friend in order to study for my final exams during my third semester of law school. I listened to the game on the radio, and will never forget it. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. I am glad I had the privilege of meeting him.
