TUSCALOOSA E. Dennis Kizzire Sr., age 90, of Tuscaloosa, died Jan. 3, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Hopewell Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Bob Sprung and Dr. Ken Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Survivors include his wife, Nettie T. Kizzire; his daughter, Dana K. Merchant (David); his son, E. Dennis Kizzire Jr. (Melinda); his stepdaughter, Dana C. Mitchell (Steve); and his stepson, Michael Crowder (Sandra), all of Tuscaloosa; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Mr. Kizzire was born in Duncanville. He served in World War II in the Pacific Theater and received the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart.
Pallbearers will be Tony Kizzire, Jason Crowder, Stephen Merchant, Darryl Evans, Ken McGee, and Ricky Young.
Honorary pallbearers are employees of BF Goodrich, members of Hopewell Baptist Church, Dr. George Miller, Dr. Anne Lewis, Dr. Brian Clayton, Billy Barton, Tom Marcum, and Walter Jacobs.
