GORDO | Helen Francis Plowman, age 77, of Gordo, Ala., passed away on April 25, 2014 at her son's residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2014 at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Korey Kizziah and Rev. Johnny Sellers officiating and Skelton Funeral Home of Reform, directing. Burial will follow in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, April 27, 2014 at the funeral home.

Helen was preceded in death by her father and mother, Doyle and Margrett Webb; her husband, Howard Plowman; her daughter, Brenda Sellers; brother, Leon Webb; and sister, Dorothy Wilson.
She is survived by her daughter, Reba Shirley of Gordo, Ala.; sons, Eugene Plowman and wife Rose of Holman, Ala., and Scottie Sullivan and wife Christina of Buhl, Ala.; her sisters, Doris Thompson of Hueytown, Ala., and Martha Booth of Holman, Ala.; and her eight grandchildren, Jennifer Plowman of Holman, Cindy Condra (David) of Holman, Tracey Sanders (Jimbo) of Gordo, Tonyia Jones (Danny) of Gordo, Daniel Shirley (Casey) of Gordo, Kevin Sellers (Tonya) of Buhl, Megan Sullivan of Gordo and Shannon Plowman (Heather) of Buhl; as well as 14 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Plowman was born June 1, 1936 in Pickens County, Alabama. She was a member of Flatwoods Baptist Church, a retired clerk at Friday Food Mart, and a well known resident of Tuscaloosa and Pickens Counties.
Pallbearers will be David Condra, Austin Condra, Kevin Sellers, Shannon Plowman, Kenneth Hall, and Jimmy Hall.
Honorary Pallbearers are Amedisys Hospice Care, Grentiva Home Health, and friends and neighbors of the Holman community.
