NORTHPORT Jan Richtberg Currier, age 78, of Northport, died Nov. 21, 2012, at Northport Medical Center-DCH. Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father Jerry Deasy officiating and Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Entombment will follow at a later date in Holy Spirit Columbarium. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Thursday at the church.

Survivors include her daughters, Pam Sakmer (John), Lisa McLeod (Tom), and Kris Drensky (Mark); her sons, Gregg Currier, Scott Currier (Toni), and Peter Currier; her brothers, Fred Richtberg (Susan) and Don Richtberg (Marti); ten grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Jan was a member of the Holy Spirit Catholic community for over 50 years. She touched the lives of many people throughout her life, spreading the Word of God and sharing her faith. She was devoted to her family, never met a stranger, and strived to instill Christian values in the hearts of all. She will be greatly missed.
Honorary pallbearers include friends from St. Francis, St. John's, and Holy Spirit, and the loving and caring staff from Northport Medical Center-DCH.
