NORTHPORT – Robert Lewis "Bobby" Latham, age 76, of Northport, Ala., died September 14, 2018, at Hospice of West Alabama. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 18, 2018, at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel with Kerry Richardson and Scott Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Skelton Funeral Home of Reform directing. Visitation will be Monday, September 17, 2018, from 6 - 8 p.m., at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carolyn Sue Latham and his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Dean Howell Latham; his sons, Mark Latham (Christine) of White House, Tenn. and Stansel Latham of Madison, Tenn.; his daughter, Lisa Latham White (Brian) of Olive Branch, Miss.; stepdaughters, Cyndy Orr (David) of Coker, Ala. and Lisa Townsend (Scott) of Coker, Ala.; brothers, Tony Latham (Ceav) of Gordo, Ala., Larry Latham (Donna) of Gordo, Ala. and Ricky Latham (Valerie) of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sisters, Judy Cook (Wilith) of Northport, Ala., Annette Montgomery (Jerry) of Northport, Ala. and Virginia Jones (Bryson) of Birmingham, Ala.; ten grandchildren, Krista White (Kaleb), Adam White, Ellie Latham, Christian Gonzales, Daniel Gonzales, John Orr (Kristen), Joel Orr (Lindsey), Jason Orr (Melissa), Heather Townsend Ellis (Isaac) and Leah Townsend; five great-grandchildren, Jude, Winry, Landon, Amelia and Ella; and 37 nieces and nephews and a host of great-nieces and nephews.
Bobby was born June 1, 1942 in Gordo, Alabama to the late Vester Lewis Latham and Cornelia Evelyn Stine Latham. He was a member of Northport Church of Christ and a retired employee of B. F. Goodrich in Tuscaloosa.
Pallbearers will be Adam White, Kaleb Glass, Daniel Gonzales, Christian Gonzales, Lance Latham, Harold Burns, David Cook, Corey Staten and Jason Stephens.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to Shiloh Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, P. O. Box 913, Gordo, AL 35466 or to the Nashville Inner City Ministry, 1000 Apex Street, Nashville, TN 37206.
