Sue Price Skelton Obituary
DUNCANVILLE - Sue Price Skelton was born June 5, 1947 and died September 2, 2018 at age 71. Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Bart Latner officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Gardens with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
Sue was married to her high school sweetheart, Bobby Skelton, for 50 years. He preceded her in death November 20, 2015. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Emmitt and Beatrice Price; sister, Helen Scruggs; and beloved miniature Pomeranian, Bubba.
Her spirit will live on through their children; daughter, Kimberly Skelton Baggett (Mark); daughter, Kristy Skelton Hannah Hamner (Randy); and son, Robert Bartow Skelton IV aka Bart/ Booger (Alison); grandchildren, Scott Hannah, Dustan Moseley, Taylor Baggett, Tori Cottingham (Jordan), Sumner Baggett, Alexis Hannah, Lauren Baggett, Hunter Edwards, Laney Skelton, Allie Skelton, Wes Hamner (Marie), Blake Hamner (Liz); great-grandchildren, Kase Cottingham, Lily Hamner, Grady Hamner and Ollie Hamner; and brothers, Emmitt Price Jr and Michael Price (JoAnn).
Sue never met a stranger and was the life of the party. She loved to laugh and loved to pull a prank or two. She has been known to send a belly dancer or seagull poop to friends for birthdays. She also loved a good blonde joke. Those of you who knew her well can definitely hear her calling to one of the kids by saying ""Bobby, Bart, Bubba...never mind. Yes, you. If I'm looking at you, I'm talking to you."" (Maybe she related a little to the blonde jokes a little too much at times.) Many meals shared with friends and family at The Bright Star and The Cotton Patch will be fondly remembered. She loved to go to church, travel, scrapbook, eat watermelon rind pickles and King Crab Legs. Let's not forget many games of scrabble. ""What does THAT word mean?"" ""We are playing WORDS, not definitions.""
Casket bearers will be Scott Hannah, Taylor Baggett, Sumner Baggett, Hunter Edwards, Brylan Pate, Sam Powell, Jordan Cottingham and Dustan Moseley.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Gilgal Baptist Church, 3000 Bear Creek Road East, Duncanville, AL 35456.
