TUSCALOOSA William C. Billy Campbell, age 69, of Tuscaloosa, died Aug. 13, 2012, at Hospice of West Alabama. Visitation will be tonight, Aug. 15, 2012, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. Sunset Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, is in charge of arrangements.

He was preceded in death by his father, Otis Lee Campbell Sr.; his mother, Lucy Bonner Campbell; and his brother, Otis Lee Buddy Campbell Jr.
Survivors include his wife of 49 years, Jeanne Dunn Campbell of Tuscaloosa; his daughters, Lynne Robbins (Brian) of Tuscaloosa and Anita Rushing of Demopolis; his son, Steve Campbell (Sandy) of Tuscaloosa; his grandchildren, Gina Powell (Matthew), Courtney Reams (Jamie), Daniel Evans, Curtis Campbell, and Jason Campbell, all of Tuscaloosa, and Drew Rushing (Renee) of Demopolis; one great-grandchild, Emma Katherine Powell; his sister, Geraldine Hughes of Tuscaloosa; his mother-in-law, Jerri Dunn; his sister-in-law, Nancy Hunt; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Bud and Linda Dunn and Bob and Beth Dunn; and many other nieces, nephews, and other relatives.
Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was Big Da to many people, not just his family. He was a great friend to all who knew him, and he spent most of his time helping others. He will be greatly missed, especially by his dog Bonnie.
Honorary pallbearers are past and present employees of B.F. Goodrich, friends of Bama Billiards, everyone associated with Aces baseball teams, friends in Section K at Sewell-Thomas Stadium, Billy and Denise Jones, special friend Kenneth Walters, CSICU nurses and staff, and other friends too numerous to name.
Flowers will be accepted, or donations may be made to Hospice of West Alabama.
