CUMMING, Ga. William Henley Morrison, Jr., “Chip,” age 55, passed away April 13, 2013 at his home in Cumming, Georgia.

Chip was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Amanda Bailey Morrison; father, William Henley Morrison; step-father, Joe Allen Brown; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. William Howard Moore and Mr. and Mrs. Fleming duBignon Morrison of Birmingham.

He is survived by his wife, Kim Webb Morrison, and daughter, Heather Busha' Morrison, of Cumming; mother, Carolyn Morrison Brown of Tuscaloosa; sister, Carol Williams, and her husband Richard of Tuscaloosa; niece Caroline Williams of Birmingham; nephew Matthew Williams of Chicago; Kim's parents, Earlaine and Gary Webb of Roswell; and other loving relatives and friends.

Chip was born in Birmingham on January 2, 1958 and moved to Tuscaloosa as a young child. He was a 1976 graduate of Tuscaloosa High School and received a B.S. in Engineering from The University of Alabama. Upon graduation, Atlanta became Chip's home, where he was co-founder and vice-president of Southern Hardscapes. His handsome stonework and water feature designs can be seen throughout the Atlanta area.

Chip worked hard and played hard. He enjoyed summer vacations at the beach with his extended family, going deep sea fishing and planning elaborate firework displays. He was a gentle and loving son and father.

Chip was an avid hunter and fisherman because his granddad shared with him a love of the woods and water. Some of his favorite adventures and misadventures were doing the things he enjoyed most with the Anderson family of Tuscaloosa. He especially cherished time spent at the farm, in the woods and on the boat with his special buddy Scott, who remained a true and caring friend through Chip's final days.

Visitation will be at Northside Chapel in Roswell from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Tuesday followed by graveside services at Green Lawn Cemetery at 2:30.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the National Pancreas Foundation (pancreasfoundation.org), 101 Federal Street, Suite 1900, Boston, MA 02110 or one's favorite charity.
