VANCE | Helen South Kizziah, age 79, of Vance, died August 3, 2014, at home. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at Memory Chapel Funeral Home with Dwight Kizziah officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery with Memory Chapel Funeral Home, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard (Buddy) Kizziah; son, Terry Kizziah; mother, Rubye Dailey South; father, Leon South; sister, Armell Criddle; and nephew, Randy Criddle.
Survivors include her daughters, Patsy Vining (Phil), Debra Hendrix and Teresa Frost (Mike); son, Dennis Kizziah (Linda); special grandson, Christopher Shadwrick; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Helen loved spending time with her family, having cookouts and going to ball games. She also enjoyed cooking. She loved her God and family and was a member of Midway Baptist Church.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Kelly, James Ray Kelly, Cory Hammett, Scott Hammett, Christian Bowen and Colby Vining.
Honorary pallbearers are Ervine Vining, Charlotte Battles, Lolly and Ken Stuck, Nancy and Carol Snider, Peggy Toxey, Tammy George, Violet Tibbs, Jo Burt, Fresh Anointed Church, Amedisys Hospice nurses: Ashley Brom, Beth Boothe, Beth Henen and Brittany Smith, friends and relatives of the Vance community, Brenda (Tootie Bug) Kizziah, and UAB Medical West Business Office.
