Thanks Coach "Popcorn" Blackmon for the contributions you made to my life and many other students during your tenure at U.S. Jones. Thanks for teaching us how to win and how to manage defeat on and off the basketball court. Many of the things you taught us, I cherish dearly even until this day. Especially, thanks for encouraging me academically and athletically, had it not been for your insistence that I apply myself, I am certain I would have come up short in more than one area of my life. May God have mercy on your soul and comfort your family's grieving hearts. We will miss you, but we shall not forget you. Minister Grady N. Greene--The Third Cross Congregation--Atlanta, Georgia
