BERRY Ronald Lee White "Whitey", age 62, of Berry, joined his sweetheart B. Sue Tribett in eternal rest June 3, 2011. He passed away at DCH Regional Medical Center after battling lung cancer and succumbing to pneumonia.

Born in Clay City, Ky., September 22, 1948, he was the eldest son of the late Dorsey White of Powell County, Ky. and Mary Brandenburg Diehl of Columbia, S.C.

Whitey proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from April 1968 to May 1974 and worked numerous jobs in the timber and oil industries.

Surviving are two sons, Donald White of Dayton, Ohio and Andy Goodman of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Jennifer Barrett of Baldwin, Fla.; his mother, Mary; two brothers, Michael White and his wife, Suzie of Dayton, Ohio and Ernest "Jack" White and his wife, Kathy of Baldwin, Fla.; three sisters, Patricia Kendig of Reno, Nev., Sandra O'Konek and her husband, Richard of Columbia, S.C., and Dena Neal of Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Kimberly Ann, Christopher, Justin, Jessie, Cody, and Lauren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to extend special thanks to DCH Regional Medical Center Cancer Center and MICU staff for the wonderful care they provided to Mr. White.

Whitey will be interred at Corinth Baptist Cemetery in Buhl.
