TUSCALOOSA James Garland "Jimmy" DeLoach, Jr., age 73, of Tuscaloosa, died July 19, 2011, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. today at Christ Episcopal Church with The Rev. David Meginniss, The Rev. Dr. Catherine Collier, and The Rev. Sandra DePriest officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be today from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Randall Hall at Christ Episcopal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Garland DeLoach, Sr. and Virginia Martin DeLoach; and his grandparents, William Bethel and Fannie DeLoach.
Survivors include his wife, Marian Edge "Tina" DeLoach; his daughters, Mary-Virginia DeLoach Richardson (Matt) and Leah Mills (Thomas); his son, Hudson Keller (Tracy); and his granddaughter, Marian Susan Richardson.
Mr. DeLoach was born in Birmingham in 1938 to the late James and Virginia DeLoach. Jimmy grew up in Tuscaloosa from the age of five and attended Tuscaloosa Public Schools. He graduated from Livingston College and served in the U.S. Army. Throughout his life, he was involved in many aspects of the automobile business and was a member of Christ Episcopal Church.
Pallbearers will be Matt Richardson, Billy Blakeney, Bob Martin, Tony Long, Andy Wharton, James Buttram, and Joe Freeman.
Honorary pallbearers are Bill DeLoach, Gene Moore, Sam Lawler, Chester Bambarger, Jimmy Campbell, David Richardson, Richard Chaffin, Fred Wood, Ray Pradat, Gene Carpenter, and George Pate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Christ Episcopal Church of Tuscaloosa, or The Anglican-Episcopal Church of the Good Shepherd, 321 Forrest Blvd., P.O. Box 2023, Columbus, MS 39704.
