MOUNDVILLE Ida M. Stockley, age 85, of Moundville, died Feb. 18, 2013, at DCH Regional Medical Center. Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Chapel Funeral Home with Bro. Wayne Boswell officiating. Burial will follow in Gilgal Baptist Church Cemetery with Heritage Chapel Funeral Home & Cremations, a Dignity Memorial Provider, directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Robert L. Stockley; her mother, Cleola Snider; her father, George W. Snider; her sister, Lucille Boswell; and her nephew, Andy Boswell.
Survivors include her daughters, Pamela Stockley (Gary Causey) and Louise Carpenter (Eddie), both of Duncanville; her son, Randall Stockley (Sandy) of South Carolina; her grandchildren, Bob Carpenter, Madalyn Keys, Amber Faulkner, Kyle Fikes, and Brandon Stockley; and eight great-grandchildren with one on the way.
She had a kind and loving spirit that made a huge impact on others' lives. Her goal in life was to care for family and others, and she always put others' needs before her own. She held the title of Ms. Moundville Health & Rehab 2011 and competed in Ms. Alabama Nursing Home in Birmingham. She will be missed by many who knew her as Mama and Granny.
Pallbearers will be Kyle Fikes, Brandon Stockley, Bob Carpenter, D.J. Faulkner, Nathan Keys, and Gary Causey.
Honorary pallbearers are Moundville Health & Rehab, her best friend of 60 years Lorraine Blondie Benson, Carol Newman, and the staff of 6 North at DCH Regional Medical Center.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to DCH Help and Hope Fund and FOCUS on Senior Citizens.
