TUSCALOOSA | Daniel W. Warren, age 94, of Tuscaloosa, died August 22, 2013. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Tuscaloosa Memorial Park with Tuscaloosa Memorial Chapel Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his parents; seven brothers and sisters; and his wife, Marie Savage Warren.
Survivors include his daughters, Betty Woodard (Jack) of Northport; sons, George Warren (Sandra) and Jimmy Warren (Emily) both of Tuscaloosa; sisters, Virginia Cobb (Vance) and Margie Gurganus; brother, Charles Warren (JaQuita); and grandchildren, Skip Warren (Shay), Kim Allen (Greg), Joy Woodard, Christy Strickland (Tim), John Warren (Rachel), and Parker Warren.
Born in Walker County, Daniel Warren was retired from Central Foundry. He was married for 60 years to Marie Warren. He was quiet and gentle and a hard worker. He had a big heart and was always caring for others. He loved his family, his friends and his church family. He attended University Church of Christ.
Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Honorary pallbearers are staff of Forest Manor Nursing Home, members of University Church of Christ, employees of TotalCom, Dr. George Miller, Ken and Peggy Olivet, Robert Burns, and Wayne and Modine Alexander.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to University Church of Christ and Harvest Hands Ministry.
