Harry Lee was born in Hale County. He was a member of Mt. Hebron Baptist Church where he attended for many years. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for 36 years at Gulf States Paper Corporation in Tuscaloosa and for Hale County Road Authority.
He was a man of integrity, wisdom and gentle good humor. Not to mention, he was competitive and loved to win fair and square. He devoted many hours to coaching little league baseball for 15 years where he was a part of winning season after winning season. At the ripe age of 88 he witnessed his second hole in one at the Lakeview Country Club in Greensboro. He played golf competitively almost every day. He loved sports but his greatest love was for his family. He loved each member of his family and took great pride in being a part of their lives and accomplishments. He had so many blessings he witnessed from a God that loves us more than we can comprehend, that is always faithful and provides hope and peace. What better way to celebrate a good life of 93 years than to enter into the presence of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Active pallbearers are Jacob Scott Livingston, Matthew James Langford, Jody Scarbrough, David Wyatt, Chester Sowell and Langford Sims.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to West Alabama Hospice and Honor's Way at the VA Hospital. The family would like to thank everyone for all of the love and kindness expressed during this time.
