My heart goes out to the Poellnitz family and to all of Brian's associates at APR on his untimely passing. Brian accomplished a great deal of his life's ambitions in a shorten lifespan. May we all take comfort in knowing that Brian will rest in the house of the Lord forever.

Brian was my contact at Alabama Public Radio for my radio show. I have known him since he came to the station. He was a great guy and I will miss him very much. His friend and fellow ham radio operator, Russell Ellis of Tuscaloosa, and I join with Brian's many friends to say 73s, and see you in heaven.

I have known Brian a few short years and only in the last year, reconnected with him. He was always a gentleman, he was funny, he was caring. He was a delight to be around. I (we) will certainly miss his charm and witty personality. Rest in Peace, Brian...You were truly one of a kind.
