Dear Dodo, Just want to wish you a Very Happy Heavenly 87th Happy Birthday!! I want you to know we will never forget you or your family...you guys were a big part of our lives! So big that Mom couldn't even miss one of your birthdays without you...she had to be up in Heaven before you celebrated your first one up there, passing the day before. I guess that showed true friendship. So, I hope you are all celebrating with a huge party! Eating all the cake and ice cream you want without worrying about the sugar or calories, haha! Have a huge piece and scoop or two for me! We sure miss you! But, know you must have been thrilled to be finally reunited with your kids and Don! Love from here to Heaven! The Tholes!

Dear Dodo, Happy Mother's Day! I can't believe you have been gone 7 years already! It just seems like you would be calling Joe about cutting your grass and your hedges. And how darn fussy were you about your hedges! You absolutely wouldn't give them up to him until you could barely lift the hedge cutters. You were one strong and one stubborn lady, haha. But, that's what we loved about you. You didn't pull any punches and said it exactly how you meant it. You were you. A real woman, who had such a hard life, but never complained, just rolled with the punches. And Mom would say you were an Angel Walking Among Us...and you were going right to Heaven, cuz you already been through hell and never complained. So, I know you have one of the biggest halo's of course being held up with the most gorgeous thick long hair and the softest golden wings! And I know Julie, Doug and Don are so very happy to be all together to celebrate another Mothers Day with you! Our loss is their gain. We really do miss you...I miss dropping off your card/gift/flowers and seeing those happy tears! But,I know exactly how beautiful Heaven is, and I know you are all happy to be back together! Sending big hugs and kisses to each of you! Love from here to Heaven, Patti, Joe, Laura, Tony Thole

Dear Dodo...This is for Doug....Wishing him a VERY HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY!!! Where did all the time go? I remember him, JoAnn and I playing barbies on the edge of Fautsch's grass next to the alley! If course HE had a G.I. Joe!!! That was after he couldn't keep up with the boys bike riding or whatever they were doing! I miss you and hope you enjoy this big Birthday with ALL your family! Love, Patti

Dear Dodo, Just writing to wish you a Happy 84th Birthday! Hope you, Don, Doug and Julie along with Mom and Dad enjoy the Angel food cake up there in Heaven!! You are talked about so often and missed by many! Our love for you will never fade-you made quite the impression on my family! I guess Mom didn't want you to spend any of your birthdays without her, huh? Is that what BFF's do? You were right about one thing.. your nephew David was/is an Angel!! Always thought you were exagerating..but after meeting him and how he treated Mom after you passed, and me after Mom passed, can't say that I don't feel the same way.. he is one great guy! Wish I would have met him sooner- but you were hogging him, Lol! Well have a BEAUTIFUL day in Heaven..Love, The Tholes

Dear Dodo, It's so hard to believe you have been gone three years already. It's funny because you come up in conversation at least weekly. In fact we just spoke of how Mom passed the day before your Birthday in 2014, since you guys we such good buddies she didn't want to miss seeing you on your Birthday. She was pretty healthy when you passed, even when they had your "service" at the cemetery for you. She wasn't settled until you were "settled." I guess that's what best buds do. So, as we miss you another year, you celebrate with your wonderful family in Heaven. You certainly deserve it. Well-earned! You and your family will never be forgotten. Love, The Tholes.

Dear Doris, This candle is for Julie. I'm pretty sure you can pass it on to her... to let her know I haven't forgotten it's her 50th Birthday! I can hardly believe she would be that old. I remember her birthday because she always made a big deal about hers and Dad's being two days apart. I have SO many precious memories of her. She was an Angel God put on Earth for such a short time but she touched thousands of lives. All for the good! Hope you are enjoying the BIG 5-0 with everyone in Heaven! Love You All!

Dear Dodo, Just have to write to you to tell you "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!". If I counted right, this is your third birthday in Heaven, and third birthday with Don, Doug, Julie, my Dad, and my Mom. I guess Mom passed just in time, the night before, your birthday, so she could celebrate it with you! I guess that proves the wonderful relationship the two of you had. Seems like we bring up your name at least once a week if not more, just in our every day conversations. I sold the house last November 30th, 2015. I think the only "originals" left are JoAnn, Linda, and Bahe's. The entire neighborhood has changed. I haven't even driven by since October 30, 2015. Don't want to see what the house looks like now. I know yours has had multiple people in it. Well, give everyone a big hug and smooch for me, and have a wonderful day!! Love, The Tholes

Dear Dodo, Just want to wish you a Happy Mother's Day. Also can't believe it's been three years today since you've passed. Sold Mom's house. The old neighborhood just isn't what it used to be. Glad we are all out of there. Enjoy your day with Don, Doug, and Julie. Say Hi to Mom and Dad. You knew I couldn't have let a Mother's Day go by without acknowledging you. Never have, never will...God willing. Love You DoD! Patti, Joe, Laura, Tony

Dear Doris, Just want to get a jump on telling you Happy Birthday. It's your second in Heaven and second I can't give you another Angel gift. You sure must have had a collection. Just want to let you know you are thought of often-along with the entire Mohr family. We miss all of you. I have kept in touch with David and you were so right about what a great guy he is. His wife too. Too bad we all hadn't gotten together before you passed. I know you and your twin are getting along great now-God wouldn't have it any other way-there's only peace and love in Heaven. So blow out those candles with Don, Doug and Julie. Give them all a hug and kiss from us. Love You from here to Heaven Forever!! The Tholes

Hey Dode,
The year has gone past quickly. Lots of things going on including serious health issues for both Mom and Dad. Mom's memory is messed up. The up side of that is that she often thinks the two of you have just gone somewhere together... or you've just visited.
I miss you tons, but know that you're there without pain and in the company of so many of those you love.
Keep a place open for the rest of us. I know we'll see you again.

May 10, 2015

Dear Doris, Today is one year since you passed away. That's 365 days of missing you. Mom was just not happy until she knew and saw that you were "put to rest" with your family. She was then satisfied for you. You always talked about David, and I have to say, he lived up to everything you said about him. He is a wonderful man. He included us in that service and it was very nice. He was so good to mom. He called and came and visited her. It meant a lot to her. He called on your birthday last year to reminisce with Mom about you. But, I had to tell him she passed the day before. I guess she really didn't want to miss celebrating your birthday with you. We all miss you so much. Of course, the house will always be "Dodo' s house" no matter who lives there. So celebrate your second Mothers Day with Don and your kids. I am sure you are all so happy to be together again. Give Mom and Dad a kiss and hug from us. Love Forever, Patti, Joe, Laura, Tony

Today, Julie would have turned 48!!! I know she is celebrating with Mom, Dad, Doug, Uncle Carl, and Aunt Kitty. I will never forget you all. Your Friend, Patrick.

April 22, 2015

Dear Dod, I got the call Saturday that my best friend was gone. I have been watching for your garage door to go up and see you go for your weekly trip for groceries and meds. That hasn't happened. I have been waiting for you to call and that hasn't happened. I keep thinking of calling you but that won't work either. We spent hours on the phone. A few years ago we would walk through the cemetary. We would bring my cane or a stick. We were not afraid. Together we were tough. We went through a lot of tough times together, we both had more than our share. You told me many times you were ready to go. You were tired. Give Matt a hug and kiss from me. I hope your reunion with Don, Doug, and Julie was all you had hoped for and more. I will never forget you! Love, Pat

One of my favorite memories as a kid was our family get togethers. Aunt Dodo you were one of those family members that you just don't forget, ever. Full of character, life and strength.

Dear Dodo, Its just unreal that you are gone. You were just a permanent fixture in the neighborhood for over 40 years. I remember playing barbies with Doug and later Julie. I remember Julie teaching us sign language (even the curse words) when we would get a word right how she would clap and rub her hands on both sides of her head. (Meant she was happy or excited). When I had my own family you treated them like your own. There are so many memories. Every Mothers Day I would bring you flowers and you would cry. You would always say you knew for sure I would remember you even if no one else did. I think Doug and Julie finally told God they wanted you for Mothers Day this year and God listened. This Mothers Day you made me cry. We will never forget you. Patti. Joe, Laura, Tony

Dear Dodo,
You have been a positive influence in my life from the time I was 11 years old. I remember living with you and Uncle Donny for a short time, right after you got married.
Before that, you and Mom had become such good chums that Grandma dubbed you the "Golddust Twins". I don't know where the "Golddust" came from, but I'm sure the "twins" was because where ever you saw one, you saw the other.
I love you. It seems I've always loved you. And I can't imagine life without having you on the other end of the phone.
However, I'm glad you spent Mother's Day 2014 with your children in heaven. You missed them so very much.
May the afterlife bring you the rich rewards you so surely deserve.
