+ Verne was not only my Uncle, he and Rosemary are my godparents, something that always will mean so much to me.
Just a couple of the many things about Verne that I observed and admired over the years, were his respect and kindness to people that he'd never met before. And the twinkle in his eye when encountering children, that he would eventually get down on their level, be it a floor, a lawn or a patch of dirt. Verne always had time for children.
