James, I am sorry to learn of your dad's passing. I have known John since 1973, and as a fellow Standard and Amoco dealer, we attended many meetings and outings together. We also exchanged parts, tires, batteries, etc. from each other's inventory, and settled up perhaps once a year or so. In all of my years of business relationship with John, I found him to be a man of his word, and a friend worth having. I remember how concerned he was for your mother, Pat, as she struggled with illness, around the time they sold the laundromat in Roseville. I also send my condolences on the passing of your mother, Pat. I hadn't talked with John in several years, the last time down at Park Bank I believe, and didn't know of her death. I saw the obituary in the trusty Park Bugle. May God give you comfort in the loss of John, and of your mom, Patricia. Certainly He has an eternal home in heaven for them, and all that love and trust Him!
