KING, Louise (Everett)
A memorial service celebrating the life of Louise King will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 9, 2015, at Plymouth Congregational Church with gathering of family and friends one hour prior to the service, followed by a light lunch. Louise was born April 26, 1923 to W. R. and Marion Everett. She grew up in Minneapolis with her brothers, Ted and Bill, graduating from Washburn High School and Vassar College, Phi Beta Kappa. As a zoology teaching assistant at the University of Minnesota, she met her future husband, Stanley King. They married in 1945 and raised four children. The great joys of Louise's life were her family, friends, music, and nature. She was a longtime member of the Bach Society and an enthusiastic supporter of the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and its Friends organization. She will be remembered for her beautiful flower gardens, keen bird watching and exquisite needlework. An avid reader, she was tickled to be a minor celebrity as the real-life daughter of "Carney" in the Betsy-Tacy series by Maud Hart Lovelace. Her passion for music and learning informed her life. Louise is greatly missed by her brother, Bill Everett and Betty Lou Hein; her children, Caroline King, Betsy and Darrel Leach, Staff and Julie King, and Mary Benbow; ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. The family is grateful for the loving care she received at Emerald Crest of Burnsville. Memorials are preferred to The Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra or the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. If you are able to come to the service, please wear spring colors.

Survived by husband Kiyoshi (Jim), brother Ralph Fujimoto, sister Bessie Shiroma, sons Stanley (Claudia) and Brian (Angela), and grandsons Tyler and Kevin.
