(nee Connaker) ~ Age 87 Of Maplewood Passed away on Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at home. She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mae Connaker; brother Thomas and sister Winifred Bettenburg. Survived by husband of sixty-four years, ten months and five days, James; children Barbara (Jerry Beutel), Jim Jr. (Pam), Kathleen, John (Nancy), Theresa and Peter (Joanna); grandchildren Dan, Sarah (Josh Mohr), Katie (Will Mitchell), Scott (Cayley Baird), Jen, Allison, Rachel and Andrew; great-grandchildren Charlie & Ingrid; sister Patt Glass; brother-in-law James Bettenburg and many nieces and nephews. Also survived by loving pet Molly. June was born in Pine City, Minnesota and was a longtime resident of North St. Paul and Sun City, Arizona. She was the office manager for the North St. Paul Area Public School Employees Credit Union for many years. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM, Thursday, April 24 at CHURCH OF ST. PETER, 2600 Margaret Street, North St. Paul. Visitation Wednesday, April 23 from 4-7 pm at SANDBERG FUNERAL HOME, 2593 E. 7th Avenue, North St. Paul and one hour before the Mass in the church atrium. Age 87, of Menomonie, WI Passed away suddenly on Friday, April 18, 2014 at Mayo Clinic Health System - Eau Claire. The former Shirley Janice Tilseth was born on April 25, 1926 in Menomonie, WI to Louis and Alma (Wiede) Tilseth. Shirley was raised in the Menomonie area and graduated from Menomonie High School. She then moved to St. Paul, MN where she worked at a glider factory during WWII. In 1946, Shirley married Fred Goers in St. Paul. Together they built their home in the Town of Eagan, near the Goers home farm on Pilot Knob Road and raised their family of two sons and two daughters. Shirley worked as a professional baker for 20 years at several local businesses in MN. She was a charter member of Christ Lutheran Church in Eagan, where she taught Sunday School for many years. After retiring, Shirley and her husband moved to Menomonie where she enjoyed caring for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed. Shirley is survived by her children, Robert (Karen) Goers of Menomonie, Linda (Darold) Lausted of Menomonie, Diane (Leo) Slechta of Eagan, Frederick (Diane) Goers of Colfax; eight grandchildren, Jessica (Jeff) Rudiger and their children Gavin, Holden and Lauren; Amanda (Aaron) Spence and their children Alma and Jonah; Cally (Curt) Henderson and their children Evan and Gabe; Matthew (Kristy) Lausted and their children Mason and Grace; Nathan (Abbey) Goers and their daughter Rachel; Timothy Goers (Gayle Viney); Andrew Goers (Nicole Gant) and Adam Goers; one brother David Tilseth of Eagan, MN; a sister-in-law, Shirley Tilseth of Menomonie; as well as nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Fred in 1996; an infant sister Geraldine; and brothers, Allen, Donald, Gerald and Eugene Tilseth. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, April 21, 2014 at Tainter United Methodist Church in the Town of Tainter, Dunn Co. WI with Pastor Craig Conklin officiating. There will be visitation from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran/Halvorson Cemetery in Menomonie. www.olsonfuneral.com Read Obituary
