SACK, Robert Paul  
Age 85, of St. Paul, MN Passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, Aug 22nd. Preceded in death by parents and brother Gene Sack. Survived by Virginia, his caregiver and devoted wife for 65 years. Adoring children Linda Fischbach, Jeanne Campion, Roberta Parisi, William Sack (Pamela), Lisa Malloy (Thomas); loving grandchildren Elysia Fischbach (Jim Tabb), Cassandra Fischbach (Matt Kure), Kelsey, Maximilian, Gina, Olivia, Robert, Peyton, Joseph, Jackson, Molly; great-grandchildren Mallory and Kora: special family friend Kate Stroh; twin brother Richard Sack (Betty); brother James Sack(Dolores); also many relatives and friends. Bob was owner of Freight Traffic Management Co. and co-owner of North Star Transport. Bob's family was his most cherished treasure. He was loved so much and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank special caregivers: niece Colleen Borys, Eagan Pointe Memory Care, Visiting Angels Home Care and HealthEast Hospice. Mass of Christian burial 11:00 am Tuesday, August 25th at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 1154 Seminole Ave., West St. Paul, MN. Visitation at church from 9:00 am until time of Mass. Private burial. SCHMIDT, Phyllis Rosella  
Age 99, of Inver Grove Heights, MN formerly of Stacyville, IA died Saturday, August 22, 2015, 3 days short of her 100th birthday. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Visitation Catholic Church in Stacyville with visitation from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Phyllis was born August 25, 1915, in Charles City, Iowa, the daughter of William and Kathryn (Ryan) Beland. She graduated from Osage Community High School in 1932. Phyllis married Carl Schmidt on June 9, 1941, at Visitation Catholic Church. She taught in rural schools for seven years and was activity director at Stacyville Nursing Home for 14 years. Phyllis was a lifetime member of Visitation Catholic Church. She enjoyed her family, teaching, playing cards, crossword puzzles, knitting and going out to eat. Phyllis is survived by her children, Kathryn Johnson of Raleigh, North Carolina, Mary Huettl of Woodbury, Minnesota, Richard (Dyan Venters) Schmidt of Fullerton, California, and Anthony (Sharon) Schmidt of San Diego, California; 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great great-grandson, four sisters-in-law and 1 brother-in-law She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl in 1992, eight siblings, Irene, Frances, Bill, Ralph and Bob Beland, Margaret Heimer, Lucille Wright and Joan Schmidt. SEIDEL, Stephen W. "Steve"  
Age 89, of Mendota Heights, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2015 surrounded by his family. A graduate of St. Thomas Academy in 1944, he served in the Navy (Pacific Theater) during World War II and then graduated from the College of St. Thomas in 1950. He is preceded in death by his parents Richard and Miriam Seidel, and siblings Richard Seidel, Fr. John Seidel, Barbara Seidel, Robert Seidel, Joan Seidel, and Miriam Murphy. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Rita (Swenson); his 8 wonderful children Pattie (Dave) Bixler, Lisa (Eric) Hambidge, Maggie (Bob) Berry, Stephen (Deborah Keenan), John (Shelly), Joe, Dave (Mary), and Dan (Helena); 28 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; siblings Fr. Tom Seidel, Jim (Lucia) Seidel, Mary Seidel, and Katy (Dave) Mechtenberg; sisters-in-law Audrey Seidel, Betty Runyon, and Mary Jane Roedler; brother-in-law Jack Murphy, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation 4-8 PM Sunday (TODAY) at O'Halloran & Murphy Funeral Home, 575 S. Snelling Ave, St. Paul. SEVERIN, Paul Lester  
Loving Dad, Grandpa and Great-Grandpa Passed away on 8/22/2015 in Chippewa Falls, WI at age 86. He was born in St. Paul, MN on 12/22/1928 to Lester & Beuhla. Paul was a proud member of the Plaster's Union for 64 years, Navy Veteran and member of the American Legion. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark; and brother, Rolland. Paul is survived by his children, Michael (Maura), Scott, Nancy (Leo) Kurkowski and Karen (Tracey) Carnahan; daughter-in-law, Jacque; sisters, Dorothy (Joe) Braun and Sharon. He enjoyed many good times with his 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great-grandchildren. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews. SMITH, Diane Fern  
passed away at home in White Bear Lake, MN on August 24, 2015  at the age of 80. Preceded in death by parents, George and Ethel Nelson and husband, Lowell  Smith.  Diane  is  lovingly remembered  by  brother Darhl Nelson;  sons,  Lynn (Sammy)  Smith, Mark (Jeanine) Smith; daughters Debbie (Bob) Weber, LeeAnn (Jeff) Carpenter: grand-children Beau,  Angie,  Dan,  Eric,  Kayle, Alan, Adam, Austin and Dylan; great-grandchildren Ari, Lena,  Abraham and Maxwell. Diane thoroughly enjoyed her family,  especially activities involving her  grandchildren. She also volunteered  for various community organizations. The visitation will be held Saturday. August 29th, from 9:00 - 10AM at St. Mary of  the Lake Church, 4741 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear  Lake,  MN 55110. Mass of Christian burial  to follow at 10:00AM. A reception will  take  place  following  the  service  at  Kohler Hall, 4690 Bald Eagle Avenue, White Bear Lake, MN 55110. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made  to White Bear Lake Emergency  Food Shelves, 1884Whitaker St, WhiteBear Lake, MN 55110.

SPRINGER, Don C.  
Age 73, of Hudson, WI founder of Viking Electronics passed away surrounded by family on August 26, 2015. Born on June 5, 1942 in St. Paul, MN to Richard (Dick) and Ruth (Hart) Springer, he graduated from Sibley High School and the University of Minnesota. In 1969, Don founded Viking Electronics and ran it successfully until his passing. Survived by wife, Pat; children, Tom (Stacy) Springer and Suzie (Mike Ahart) Springer-Hewitt; grandchildren: Nolan Hewitt, Cooper Springer, and Shea Hewitt; and siblings, Gail (David) McMillan and Bob Springer.
