MACKENZIE, William F.  
Age 88, of Edina died unexpectedly on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. He was born in Hallock, MN on April 25, 1926, the son of Harry and Louise Mackenzie. When he was an infant he moved with his parents to Grand Forks, ND where he attended school. He then moved with his family to Mankato where he graduated from high school. After high school he joined the Navy V12 Program and attended Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of Wisconsin, where he graduated in 1948 with a degree in chemical engineering. He worked his entire career for the 3M Company, starting in the lab, then becoming a plant manager in Schenectady, NY and in Camarillo, CA. He spent the last 24 years of his career in St. Paul, retiring as Staff Vice President of Quality and Manufacturing. Bill married Katherine Kannenberg in 1949 and they were happily married for 65 years. He loved to travel, play golf, bridge, read, hunt and camp. Most of all he loved his famly. He is survived by his wife, Kay; sister, Nancy (Gordy) Justus; children, Karen Mackenzie (Brooks Donald), and Thomas (Judith) Mackenzie; 4 grandchildren, Bryan (Katie) Donald, Shannon (Nathan) Appy, Abigail (Tony) Basile, Will Mackenzie; 4 great-grandchildren, Charles and Atticus Donald, Maelyn Appy and John Basile. Memorials preferred YMCA Camp Widjiwagan, St. Paul or William Mackenzie Minority Scholarship Fund at the University of Wisconsin School of Engineering. MAXSON, Jeffrey Greig  
Age 62, of Hastings passed away from lung cancer on March 28, 2015. Preceded in death by his father, John C. Maxson. Survived by his mother, Janet Greig Maxson; his better half, Nan Bishop, her daughters and their families; sisters, Cathy (Tim) McLevish; Lisa (Tom) Morris; and Molly Maxson; step mother, Christine Maxson; half-brothers, Christopher (Emily) Maxson and Mike (Barbara) Maxson; other relatives and friends. A funeral service, officiated by Father Dave Hennen, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday (3/31) at Wise Family Funeral Home, 400 Spring St., Hastings. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Interment, North Star Cemetery in St. Cloud.

McRUNNEL, Virgil Norman  
of Lakeville, MN born June 28, 1937 lost his battle with cancer on March 26, 2015. He now is at home with our Lord, joining those who preceded him in death including his mother, father, first wife, three brothers, one son and one great-great grandchild. He is survived by his sister, Lois Seemann of Bloomington, brother, Don McRunnel of California, ex-wife, 11 children, 15 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Visitation is Wednesday April 1, 2015 at 10 am with the memorial service starting at 11 am at Cross of Christ Church in Lakeville.

MEZIN-KOATS, Danna  
Passed away March 22, 2015 surrounded by family and loved ones. Survived by husband, Dick Koats; children, Elena Mezin and Tyler Koats; parents, Jerome and Rhoda Monkarsh; siblings, Scott Monkarsh, Gwen Campbell and Lori Monkarsh; other relatives and friends. While Danna was a prominent figure in the healthcare industry, her passion was in serving others. Danna demonstrated excellence and compassion in everything that she did for her family, friends, colleagues and customers. Her last mission of establishing Mezin-Koats Colon Cancer Research will leave a legacy that will continue to touch the lives of countless people impacted by colon cancer around the world. MOORMAN, Bette Davis  
(1923 - 2015) Age 91, of Atherton passed away peacefully on March 16th at Stanford Hospital. Born in Duluth, MN, Bette graduated from The Masters School (Dobbs Ferry, NY) in 1940, and went on to major in Child Study at Vassar. A lifelong advocate for children, Bette supported Stanford's Department of Child Psychiatry, the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, the Child Advocacy Council, and many other groups. Bette was preceded in death by her brother Fred and her husband, Albert J. Moorman, who she married in 1949. She is survived by her children Lisa Fremont and Mark Moorman, their spouses Mike and Cameil, and five grandchildren, Daniel, Grace, Yasmeen, Christian, and Andrew. There will be a celebration of Bette's life at the House of Hope Presbyterian Church (797 Summit Ave, St. Paul) at 2:00 on Friday, August 28th.
