MADERIOUS, Marcia (Rowe)
Age 69, of Saint Paul Died from Alzheimer's complications on May 20, 2016. Marcia graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 1965 and Arthur B. Ancker School of Nursing in 1968. She was a dedicated nurse for over 40 years, and once a nurse, always a nurse. She took care of all those around her well into her retirement. She was blessed with the "gift of gab" and could talk to anybody anytime. She loved art, gardening, theater, a "great find" at a thrift shop, and Daffy Duck. Going to the "cabin" was one of her favorite pastimes. It is impossible to sum up a woman so caring, genuine, vivacious, hilarious, and sparkly. Marcia touched countless lives over the years, and will be missed by all. Marcia is preceded in death by her parents Elizabeth Rowe and Arthur Rowe and stepmother Ruby. She is survived by her sister, Terri Cavanaugh, nephew, Todd Cavanaugh (wife Faye, great-nephew Declan, great-niece Fallyn), and brother Bill Rowe. Countless heartbroken friends mourn Marcia with her family. She also leaves behind her devoted cat, Sally, who will remain at Breck Homes with the residents Marcia grew to love and who loved her in return. A special thanks to the very caring and devoted staff at Breck Homes. A private memorial service will be held, and a celebration honoring Marcia's life will take place later this summer. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be to Regions Hospital Foundation (HealthPartners Center for Memory & Aging).
