Betty FLYNN

Of St. Paul Age 100 Years Young Betty Flynn died peacefully, at home, on December 2, 2012. Betty (Susan Elizabeth) was born in Devils Lake ND on March 20, 1912. The family moved to St. Paul in 1923 when her father, became general counsel for the Burlington Northern Railroad. Betty was a graduate of St. Joseph's Academy and the Minneapolis College of Art and Design. She was an accomplished painter, photographer and professional lithographer. She had a quick wit and was an avid reader until the very end. Betty lived with her sister Margie for 97 years until Margie's passing in 2011. She and her sister loved to travel and had many wonderful memories of their trips together. Preceded in death by her parents Edward and Susan Flynn, sister Marjory Flynn and beloved cousin Pat Benson. She is survived by cousins Allan Haig of Inver Grove Heights, Michael Benson of New York, Greg Benson and David Benson of Duluth and their spouses and children. She will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. The heavens will shine brighter for Betty's passing. Her Funeral Mass will be at Lumen Christi Catholic Church, 2055 Bohland Ave., St Paul on December 7th at 10 am with visitation one hour before the service. Memorials preferred to Los Amigos del Padre Juan P.O. Box 717 West Fargo, ND 58078 a mission in Peru founded and run by Betty's long time family friend from Devils Lake, Father Jack Davis.
