Age 88 Passed away on October 5, 2012 at the Clare Bridge Memory Care Residence in North Oaks, MN from congestive heart failure. In 1924 Dorothy was born in St Paul to Charles and Anne Reinsberg. Dorothy's siblings preceded her in death: Harold, Howard, Muriel, Vivian, Violet and Charlotte. Dorothy attended St Joseph's Academy in St. Paul. The caption under her senior high school picture was "I, loving freedom" and this "free spirit" comment pretty much sums up Dorothy's life. She married Frank Schmidt in 1944. They were divorced in the early 70's. She leaves her children, Meredith (Dan) Beam, San Francisco, Frankie Schmidt and Joanne Nielsen, St Paul; four grandchildren, Cris Beam (NYC), Andrew Beam (San Francisco), Melissa Nielsen and Nick Schmidt; great grand-daughter, Lenora (St Paul); brother, Charles Reinsberg Jr., San Francisco; sister-in-law, Dorothy Reinsberg, St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews most of them residing in St Paul. Dorothy worked for Sperry, which is now Unisys, for many years before retiring in 1985. Dorothy found her life partner in Bill Micklick and they were together for over 30 years. Bill passed away in 2003. Dorothy was always full of life and fun loving. She talked to everyone she met and was always ready with a funny story or an entertaining song and dance. She loved to travel and had wonderfully close friends with whom she had many crazy adventures.
