Esther O. HAMILTON

Age 99 of Murrieta, California Passed away peacefully on December 27, 2013. She joins her husband Bruce, siblings Carl, Helen, and Hazel, Mother Amelia and Father Arthur Schultz in heaven. Esther is survived by daughter Judy Cunningham (James), grandchildren Deborah Lewis, Sheryl Thomas, Bruce Mirams, and Lisa Honda and seven great grandchildren. Esther was born on August 30, 1914 in Elk River, Minnesota and lived on a farm. The family later moved to So. St. Paul, Minnesota where Esther went to school. In 1940 she married Bruce Hamilton who later became a professional golfer after serving in World War II. Esther was active in bowling, playing golf and belonged to the St. Paul Curling Club. She and Bruce moved to California in 1961. She was the consummate homemaker and enjoyed cooking comfort food and baking. One of her favorite past times was going to the casinos and playing slot machines. She beat lung cancer at age 89, and gave up driving her Corolla at age 93. She will be missed by her family, friends, and all the wonderful people she touched during her time here. The family wishes to thank the fabulous staff at Sunny Rose Glen in Menifee and the Vitas Hospice group for all their support and hugs.
