SCHWIETZ Francis Jerome "Chummy" Age 90 years young Proud WWII Vet Passed away surrounded by loving family. Beloved husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother and friend. Preceded in death by parents Peter and Mabel, children Kevin, Lisa and baby Catherine. Survived by sister Muriel, brother Larry (Mick). Devoted husband to Alice, beloved and proud Dad to Marie (Saunby), Tom (Jeanne), Frank (Carol), Peg (Joe Younghans), Ronnie, Steve (Bonita), Fuji (Wendy), Coppy (Matt Pilla) adoring grandkids and great-grandkids, numerous family and friends. Chummy was the original Pride of the East Side having spent most of his life there. He spent the War years in the US Navy/Seabees serving in the South Pacific theatre. After coming home and beginning his career as a plumber, he met the love of his life, and wife of 60+ years Alice. They raised 10 grateful kids who will miss him dearly. Mass of Christian Burial Monday, December 10, 2012 from ST. CASIMIR CATHOLIC CHURCH Forest at Jessamine at 10:00am. Visitation Sunday from MAPLE OAKS FUNERAL HOME 2585 Stillwater Rd. between Century and McKnight from 4-7pm. and at church Monday from 9:00 am until the time of Mass. Interment Calvary Cemetery.
