Age 83, of Alzheimer's complications Passed away on February 9th Retired partner of Minneapolis law firm Lindquist & Vennum P.L.L.P., which came into being in 1968 as a result of a merger he orchestrated with longtime friend and fellow lawyer Mel Orenstein. Survived by sons Greg (Linda) of Apple Valley, Paul (Deborah Marshall) of San Francisco, and John (Mariann Wolf) of Minneapolis; grandchildren Lisa, Zack, Cole, and Sara; sister Ardelle of Brentwood, CA; sister-in-law Dona Butler of Greensboro, NC; brother-in-law Peter Medchill of Mound; longtime friend/assistant Jeane Paul (Grant) of Bloomington; and many friends and colleagues. Raised in St. Paul. Lived most of his adult life in Minneapolis, Edina, Hayward, WI, and Bradenton, FL. 'Graduate of the Year' from the University of Minnesota
Law School, 1954. President of the Minnesota Law Review, 1953-1954. Chairman of the Lawyers Professional Responsibility Board, 1977-1981. Affiliated with several companies, including Sheldahl, WSI Industries, and Premium Wear. Avid golfer. Former member of The Minikahda Club. Dedicated husband and father, always providing wise guidance and support. He possessed a rare blend of aptitude, intelligence, good judgment, and good humor. Preceded in death by father John (Edward), mother Luella, sisters Veona and Mildred, and wife Myla.
