Gerald L. (Jerry) BABER(1929 - 2014)

Age 84, of Houlton, Wisconsin Born September 18, 1929 Died surrounded by loving family at Regions Hospital on August 23, 2014, of complications from a fall from a ladder. Jerry was preceded in death by parents and 13 brothers and sisters, grandson Cameron, and former wife Irene. He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 40 years, Barbara (nee Lundeen); his four children, Jerry Jr. (Jaylene), William (Mary Lou), Donald (Denise), and Denise; grandchildren Logan, Nicole, Scott (Beth), Sherry, Chad, Brian, Andy, Shauna; and several great-grandchildren, along with his best buddy, Carly. Jerry served in the Army from 1945-46, and in the Navy from 1947-50. He became an electrician and eventually an electrical contractor for over 45 years. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed hunting, fishing, skiing, golfing, cruising the St. Croix, and was an accomplished float-plane pilot and part owner of Tate Island Outpost Camp on Reindeer Lake in the 70's. A celebration of Jerry's life will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 11:00AM with visitation 1 hour prior at Bradshaw Celebration of Life Center, 2800 Curve Crest Boulevard (NW corner of Hwy 36 & Co Rd 5), Stillwater. Lunch will follow the service. Private interment at a later date. Memorials preferred to Smile Train, Animal Humane Society, or donor's choice.
