Language School, and was a retired U.S. Army cryptographer and illustrator for "Armor" Magazine and "Stars and Stripes". He served in Berlin, Athens, Viet Nam, and at the Pentagon. He was preceded in death by wives Ditha and Kay and is survived by sons Andrew, Michael, and Jason; brothers Bill (Marlene), Pat (Val) and sister Kathleen (Charles) Riter. Jim spoke seven languages and was an expert on 20th Century European History. He was a kind and giving person. Services will be held in Houston, TX.
