Jeremy IPSEN

of Sarasota FL, formerly of Minneapolis passed away at age 76 on Aug. 25, 2013 While on vacation to see his kids, he was taken by ARDS, a complication of Rheumatoid Arthritis. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Camilla, son Scott, 3 siblings & his parents. Dad had a deep ability to love and a drive to succeed, he was an executive in the computer world long before desktops existed, yet never owned one. He ran various global corporations before taking an early retirement at 45 to play golf and dabble in the market. He was a world traveler & connoisseur of fine wine, He loved music, jazz, opera, and big band and could dance to everything. He finished his bucket list. He is survived by son Greg (Amy) Ipsen - "Dad had a unique ability to find clarity in the mud"; daughter Erin (Troy) Borgersen - "He spoiled me rotten as a child & I loved dancing on his feet"; brother Jay (Nancy) Ipsen - "We had fun putting pennies on the streetcar tracks"; his gal Grace Anzelone - "He was a genuine, kind & loving man"; grandkids: Jacob (Sara) Ipsen - "I fondly recall Gpa whipping shittys in the Healy in the Oaks"; Lindsey Ipsen - "He'd take me out speeding in the Healy and watch me laugh with fear and joy"; Nick (Rachel) Ipsen - "Gpa had a unique voice & would tell stories of childhood and travels to places I want to go"; Athena (John) Ipsen - "I'd watch golf with Gpa eating big pretzels & pretending to be like him, sometimes we'd sneak out and get ice cream while Gma made dinner"; Emma Borgersen - "Gpa loved me"; & Ingrid Borgersen - "No matter how green the pool got he & I could laugh through the cleaning process together"; and great-granddaughters Avery & Peyton We will be celebrating his life Sun 9/1/13 at 4pm at The Mediterranean Cruise in Burnsville MN.
