Rev. Lawrence T. Antus O.M.I.

Died peacefully at the Marian Center in Saint Paul, May 24th, 2011 After a courageous battle with cancer. Born to Stephen and Rosean Antus, July 4, 1930 in Duluth, MN. A member of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate for 58 years, ordained to the priesthood in 1958. He served in many parishes in the Midwest as well as two years in the missions of Denmark. His greatest love was for the people he served and for those that served him. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Gerard and Alexander; his sisters Theresa Rutka and Rita Sjolsvold. He is survived by his brothers Stephen, Thousand Palms, CA, Father Roland Antus, Cloquet, MN, David (Diane), Saginaw, MI; his sisters, Rose Marie Carlson, Duluth, MN, Joyce (Vance) Greene, Cloquet, MN; his sister-in-law Carol Jean Antus, Virginia, MN and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. Father Lawrence enjoyed fishing, golfing, traveling, playing cards, telling jokes, and sipping lemonade under a shade tree. Memorial services will be, June 1, 11:00 a.m. at Queen of Peace Church, Cloquet, MN with visitation in the church one hour prior to Mass; June 4, 11:00 a.m. at St. Casimir Church, St Paul, MN; and June 18, 4:00 p.m. at St. Mary's Church, Cook, MN.
