(nee Geankoplis) Age 90, of Mpls. Passed away on October 10, 2012. Preceded by husband, Andrew. She is survived by sons, John and George; grandsons, Andrew and Zachary; great-grandson, Zachary Jr.; brother, Andrew; and sister, Ione. She was a tennis star at Marshall High School and member of St. Mary's Greek Orthodox Church choir. She was a waitress at the Bridge Cafe in Minneapolis from 1935-1945. She married Andrew Vavoulis on June 9, 1946 and lived in the same house in Falcon Heights for 50 years. She was employed by the Village of Falcon Heights and the Metropolitan Council as a researcher. She spent her last years at Becketwood Cooperative. Funeral service at ST. MARY'S GREEK ORTHODOX CHURCH, 3450 Irving Ave. S., Tuesday at 11 AM with visitation one hour prior to service.
