Mildred Emilie "Book" (Oberschulte) LINDFORS

Age 98 born Jan, 31, 1915 Beloved Wife, Mother and Grandmother Died peacefully Aug. 27, 2013. She was preceded by her husband of 50 years, Wenzel Arvo Lindfors, parents Rev. Frederick and Louise Oberschulte, and sisters Helen Norman, Myra Schleh, and Doris Kromschroeder. Mildred is survived by her three children, Janet Paulsen (Gerald), Robin (Barbara) Lindfors, and Jonathan (Kathleen Bryant) Lindfors; 11 grandchildren, Erik, Kirk, and Joshua Paulsen, Emily Hanson; Chris, Jamie, Nicholas, Heidi and Anne Lindfors; and Richard and William Lindfors; 16 great-grand-children; brother Dr. Frederick Oberschulte and sister Margery Oberschulte. She graduated from Harding High School and the Univ. of MN (1937) where she met her husband Wenzel. They were married Sep. 16, 1938. In 1962, Wenzel and Mildred founded Linfor Inc., where she served as secretary and bookkeeper. Mildred loved hosting family gatherings and every birthday, holiday and milestone was celebrated with a special event at her home. She loved gardening, tending beautiful flower beds with huge roses and a never-ending tomato crop. She enjoyed theater and concerts. Mildred held her faith firmly and was a strong witness to her trust in Jesus. She ran the race and obtained the prize (II Timothy 4:7-8). A memorial service will be held Sat. Aug. 31, at 11:00 a.m. at Living Christ Lutheran Church, 820 Lake Drive, Chanhassen. Private burial will be held at Sunset Memorial Park.
