Mildred Fleming (Walstrom) CARTER

Of New Hope Formerly of Roseville and St. Paul Passed away on May 18, 2013 at age 96 at North Ridge Care Center in New Hope, MN. Family thanks staff & HOSPICE for years of kind care. Preceded by parents Carl and Hilma Walstrom, sisters Mable (Irven) Myers, Bonnie Olsen-Winters, brothers Tommy (Doris) Walstrom, Ivan (Ruth) Walstrom, and two husbands: Edward M (Ed) Fleming and Raymond (Ray) Carter. Survived by brother Marvin (Alida) Walstrom of Northfield MN, sons Michael D. (Nancy) Fleming of Tacoma WA, Raymond P. (Cathie) Fleming, Troy NY, Robert L. (Judy) Fleming of Minneapolis MN, step children Larry (Connie) Carter, Youngsville NC, Carolyn (Mike) Chamberlain, Woodbury MN, Shureen (Bill) Johnson Lakeville MN, Jessie Winter, Seattle WA and 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 7 nephews and 5 nieces. Millie raised her family in the Cathedral area. She worked at MN Dept of Licensing, and Univac/Sperry Rand. After retiring Millie spent summers in MN and winters in McAllen, TX. Family and friends were always welcome at her homes. Wherever she worked & lived, she made friends thanks to her outgoing personality and energy. Millie was born in Spencer, Iowa. She lived a long & full life, leaving us with many good memories, as she joins her Lord. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred (Fleming Family, 4515 Zenith Ave S, Minneapolis MN 55410.) Memorial Services are on May 30, 2013, at Brunswick United Methodist Church, 6122 42nd Ave N, Crystal MN, with 10am visitation, 11am service, and luncheon, followed by interment at St Gertrude's Cemetery, 3:30pm Forest City, MN (arranged by Washburn-McReavy, Robbinsdale Chapel 763 537-2333).
