Patrick Francis ANZELC

Age 61 Entered eternal rest on February 28, 2014 due to medical complications while recovering from an accident in Duluth, MN where he slipped and broke both of his arms. Patrick was born in Duluth and attended Bray Elementary School in Biwabik, MN and Marquette Catholic School in Virginia, MN. Patrick graduated from Horace Mann High School in Biwabik and earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mass Communication with a minor in Library Science from Bemidji State University. Patrick was active in music, theater and speech. Patrick worked much of his career as a School Teacher, Librarian and also as an Archivist for the Archdiocese of St. Paul/Minneapolis. Patrick lovingly enjoyed living the last five years of his life with his chosen family, Dr. Glenn Bottomly and Rev. Chuck Larsen. In addition to Glenn and Chuck, Patrick is survived by his sister Mary Shostedt from Duluth. Patrick was predeceased by his beloved mother, Sarah Anzelc, whom Patrick cherished, along with his father Frank. Patrick was an avid collector and had hundreds of Hummel figurines, along with countless other beautiful treasures. Patrick adored dogs, including his beloved Hurkie. A celebration of Patrick's life will be held on Saturday March 8 at 11:00am at the Cremation Society of Minnesota, 4343 Nicollet Avenue South, Minneapolis, MN 55409. Patrick, you have touched our lives so deeply and we mourn your premature departure from this world. You will always be an angel in our hearts. Thank you for teaching us the true meaning of love and acceptance. Keep looking homeward angel!
