Paul John (Jack) AURELIUS

Age 89 ~ Of Mahtomedi Passed away March 17, 2013 Born April 17, 1923 in St. Paul to Paul John Aurelius and Amye Johnson Aurelius. Paul was baptized and confirmed at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church. He graduated from Johnson High School. While attending the U of MN, he enlisted in the Naval Air Corps. He was commissioned in the Marine Air Corps. Paul was a decorated WWII Corsair pilot in squadron VMF-313. In 1945, Paul and Marjorie were married. Paul returned to the University and then worked in sales for 35 years for 3M. Retirement years were spent with family and friends at the lake house, in Arizona in winter, golfing, and volunteering. Paul's family thanks the 3rd floor staff of the Gables of Boutwell's Landing for their loving care of Paul. Paul is survived by his wife, the Rev. Marjorie B. Aurelius; daughter, Ann; sons, John (Maureen Thesenvitz) & David (Jeanne); grandsons, Stephen (Kristen) Roberts, and James (Karen) & Erick Brewer, and Justin Aurelius; granddaughters, Michelle (Matthew) Mason, and Lauren, Martha, & Jennifer Aurelius; great grandchildren, Marissa, Hannah, Ava, Jenna, and Christopher; and nieces, nephews, Godchildren, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law. Memorial Service 11 AM Friday, March 22 at ST. TIMOTHY LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1465 N. Victoria St., St. Paul with Pastor Hans Jorgensen officiating. Visitation from 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Interment at Northern Wisconsin Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, Spooner, WI at a later date. Memorials preferred to St. Timothy Lutheran Church, YMCA Camp Widjiwagan, Luther Seminary, Alzheimer's Research at Mayo Clinic, or donor's choice.
