Virgil PAWLENTY

Age 75 of South St. Paul Passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 9, 2013. Preceded in death by his parents, John and Rose Pawlenty; sister Delores; brothers Edward, Clarence, Eugene, Delmer and Leroy. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 54 years, Judith; children Virgil Jr. (Nancy), Edward (Michele), Donald (Cathy), Susan (Richard) Lennartson, Anita (Jim) Johnson, Cynthia (Tony) Elia, Amy (Todd) Lindstrom, Julia, Gregory "Gump" (Kari), Michael (Renee), Theresa (Isaac) Majetich; 32 grandchildren; 1 great grandson; siblings Gen Reuter, Bernie (Art) Goess, and John; sister-in-law Mary; and brother in-law Don Ausen. Virgil was a policeman for 22 years retiring as a sergeant from the South St. Paul police department. In retirement he enjoyed sitting around the fire at the cabin, fishing with his brother Gene, hunting with his sons, garage saling and talking with his many friends. Time spent with family was his greatest joy. Mass of Christian burial 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013 at St. Augustine, 408 - 3rd St. N, South St. Paul. Visitation Fri. 4-8 p.m. and Sat. 9:30-10:30 a.m. at Southern Funeral Home, 414 Marie Avenue, South St. Paul. Memorials preferred to the Regions Hospital Cancer Care Center.
