Elmo Lillehaugen Obituary

Lillehaugen, Elmo Clifford Born June 3, 1915 in Minot, ND Peacefully passed away October 29, 2008 after a short illness. Elmo was first a man of God. He was a devoted husband, a wonderful father, a loving grandfather and a loyal and trusted friend to many. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Ruth in 1998, daughter Susan R Smyth, parents Elvin and Gina Lillehaugen, sister, Enid Kolb and brother Leon. He is survived by son Jon Lillehaugen and wife Dianne, grandchildren Jon Lars and Sara of Houston Texas, sister Avis Galgan of Waukegan, Illinois and numerous nieces and nephews. Simply said, Elmo Lillehaugen was a good man. He will be greatly missed. A memorial service was held at Memorial Drive Lutheran Church on November 3rd in Houston, Texas. Elmo will be buried in the family cemetery in Star Prairie Wisconsin on November 15. A celebration of Elmo's life and death in Christ Jesus will be held at Gethsemane Lutheran Church for family and friends in Dittberner hall on Friday, November 14th from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. The address for Gethsemane Lutheran Church is 2410 Stillwater Road East, Maplewood, Minnesota 55119, 651-739-1264.

My condolences to the Lillehaugen family. Although it has been some time since I have had the pleasure to visit with Elmo,I always enjoyed his presence at our home.
