Gutzman Family:
My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. Having to know John years back I am sure you have numerous happy memories of him and smiles appear on your face when you think of him. It sure happens to me. Back in late 70's early 80's I was on the SSP Police reserves. I rode a few times with John "SGT Gutzman" and worked a few nights in the reserve squad when he was on. Let's say that by knowing him and taking direction from him during these years, I contribute my 25 unblemished years with the No. St. Paul Police Dept. to him. He was a great mentor, Officer and person as I know he was a husband, father, grand pa, etc. May you find peace during this time.

I am sorry to hear about John's passing. He was a good friend to my Dad through the years, and I know my Dad actually took it pretty hard. He is 84 now and feels that all of his close friends have now passed on to the other side. John was a good man, who made people laugh and will be missed by many I am sure. You are in our thoughts and prayers!

Auntie Joanie and family, Sending you prayers and love. Uncle Johnny will be missed by so many people. He touched so many families and was a true asset to SSP. He always had a joke or two to tell, he would give guidance if we wanted it or not and so much love and time for family and friends. I wonder, Booya or Spinach pies in Heaven?? love and hugs.
