Dr. Lyle Robertson

Age 89 Passed Away on September 13th And joined his beloved wife of 61 years, Lillian Robertson, who passed away in 2007. Born in Hudson, WI and raised in St. Paul, Lyle went on to graduate from the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry in 1943 where he was a member of the University Golf Team. During WWII he served as a United States Army Officer. He was with one of the first Army Units that liberated Buchenwald Concentration Camp in 1945. After the war, Lyle and Lillian were married and moved to South St. Paul to raise their family and began a dental practice in the St. Paul Lowry Medical Arts Building. Upon his retirement in 1982, he and Lillian enjoyed wintering in Gulf Shores, AL, and the summers at their lake home on Roosevelt Lake in Emily, MN. Lyle was an avid golfer, fisherman, and enjoyed spending time boating on the St. Croix River with his family and friends. He was a gentle, kind and loving man who will be missed dearly. Survived by sons, Paul, Reid (Cynthia), Mark (Janet); daughter, Kyle (Thomas) McClintick; grand-children, Matthew, Jackie, Jessica, Angela, Lucas, Samantha (Greg) Reckinger, Kelli (Brian) Horst and James (Angela) McClintick and great-granddaughters, Lilia Reckinger, Alison and Emma Horst. Visitation 4-7PM, Wednesday, September 15, 2010 with Funeral Service at 7PM at THE JOHNSON-PETERSON FUNERAL HOME, 612 S. Smith Ave., St. Paul, MN. Interment Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Memorials preferred.
