Renner, Robert G. Sr. - Federal District Court Judge Age 81, Of Roseville On March 1, 2005. Bob graduated from St. John's University and Georgetown Law School. He began his legal career in private practice in Walker. Bob served in the MN House of Representatives from 1957-1969. He was appointed US Attorney in 1970 and later became a US Magistrate and US District Judge. Preceded in death by his sons Gregory and Robert Jr. Survived by his wife of 55 years, Catherine (Colleen); children, Anne (Joel) Evans, Richard (Shelley) and David (Jean) Renner; daughter-in-law, Heather Renner; 7 grandchildren; sisters, Betty Meeks, Sister Emmanuel Renner, OSB, Sister Maranatha Renner, OSB, Barbara McLaughlin; brother Richard (Mary Ann) Renner. Visitation Thursday (TODAY) 5-8PM at HOLCOMB-HENRY-BOOM FUNERAL HOME; 515 W. Hwy 96 at Mackubin; Shoreview, (651-482-7606). Procession leaving funeral home on Friday for 11AM Mass of Christian Burial at ST. ODILIA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 3495 Victoria St. N, Shoreview. Interment Roselawn Cemetery.
