Age 62 of New Brighton Born May 5, 1955 and died April 12, 2018. Raised in Roseville and graduated from Kellogg High School. Mark played football, basketball and baseball for Kellogg High School and then football for the University of Minnesota. In 1978 Mark was drafted by the New York Jets and played for several NFL teams until his retirement in 1985. Mark owned a sports store at Har Mar for some time and then went into the insurance business. Mark was an avid golfer and loved to deer hunt. Survived by father, Walt of Woodbury; mother, Verna of Carlsbad, CA; brothers, Craig of Carlsbad, CA and David (Staci) of Sacramento, CA; sister, Kathleen Stringfellow (Rush) of LaQuinta, CA; nieces, Madeline and Rachel, and many other relatives and friends. A celebration of Mark's life will be held on Wednesday at 2 PM at the Roseville Memorial Chapel, 2245 N. Hamline Ave. Visitation one hour prior. Memorials preferred to donor's choice. 651-631-2727

Oh Mark and family. It's been over 2yrs since you left this earth, and to know I won't ever run into you again, sadness me so.
I thought something didn't feel right when I hadn't seen you for a long time due to my own health issues. My heart stopped, and tears fell.

What!!??? I am shocked!!! I just decided to try and locate Mark...we had briefly dated in the early 90s and I now have a son playing college football. I drove by the Silver Lake exit and he has entered my mind several times this past year that I just felt the need to try and reconnect. I am beyond sorry to his family and truly saddened with this news. What happened???

So many great conversations I had with Mark. In person and on the phone. I will miss those talk times we had!! He was a good friend to me and Doug- Jeff Spindler and Mark go back to HS days at Kellogg. Who is Doug's younger Brother. He would call Jeff Spindler, Spindley sprockets. Awww Buck Buck, Marky Mark...all the great times with you. The parties, the dances and weddings the dinners and the camping trips. And sooo many times waiting for you to get ready either doing your hair ( even to go tubing...) or finish eating your cereal from your mixing bowl only you could make that look good!

Mark was my deer hunting roomy for over 40 year. It is virtually impossible to share all of the laughs and adventures we shared over the years. You will be greatly missed especially each November by the entire hunting party. Rest in Peace Buddy!
