Mr. Lowe was one of my favorite teachers at Sibley, and there were lots of great ones. He had a way of making every one feel good about themsleves and complete, kind control of the classroom. He was a favorite of my Moms too, (Joyce Priebe) as the principals' secretary. I'll always be grateful that he took the time to come to her funeral. Thoughts and prayers for his family and friends. Mr. Lowe was one of the only teachers I remember from Sibley (grad of '95). I will NEVER forget his words to me one day. I was supposed to rate my own work face to face with him. I remember telling him that I probably didn't do very well. He stopped and pulled me aside and told me to never underestimate myself. He really seemed to care and I never forgot that interaction. Thank you, Mr. Lowe.

So very sorry for your loss. He was one of the best teachers I had at Sibley. His kindness and respect for us as students and as individuals was much appreciated. When I started a new student group and the group needed a faculty sponsor, Mr. Lowe was happy to accept when I asked him. I have much gratitude for his presence in my life during my teen years. Peace be with you during this time of loss.

My son Alessandro is getting confirmed this year and in honor of George we have decided his chosen saint name will be Giorgio. George had always prayed for Alex and supported his Catholic faith. Now he will have a saint name with a very special and personal significance. What a great blessing it was to have George in our lives all these years.

The Glenn Engebretson family of Slayton sends its sincere sympathy to the Lowe family. My dad, Glenn (Red), Jit, and Dave all worked at Silverberg's together. Jit and Mary and my parents were very good friends, Jit being my dad's best man. More recently, Dave was in Slayton a few years ago and stopped at Sunrise Terrace, independent senior housing attached to the hospital, to visit those he knew there. My mother lives there and thought it exceptional that he would stop by to see her and others. He was a kind and thoughtful man. Keep your memories close to your heart, and you will feel his presence indefinitely. Peace.

George always greeted everyone with a friendly wave and a smile. I truly could not have asked for a better next-door neighbor. Although I had known him since my early childhood years, my son and I had grown quite fond of George over the past 10 years. He was an incredibly kind individual and I only have fond memories of him. George's presence will be missed dearly and I am grateful for having known such a good man. My thoughts and prayers are with George, Marcia and their family at this difficult time. Hold your memories of him close to your hearts.
