Joseph Logan "Joe" HARRISON

WWII & Korea Veteran Age 91 of Eagan Passed away on October 3, 2012. Loving husband, father and grandfather, Joe is survived by his wife of 64 years Mary (Betty); daughter Peggy (Frank) Howell; son Joseph (Vickie); six grandchildren, Francis, Margarita, Andrew, Kristen, Kiana, Ciara; brother, Stan; sister, Mary Agnes and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by sisters Winifred, Vera and Edna, and brother Thomas. Joe served with distinction in the U.S. Army Air Corps 1942-45, and in the U.S. Navy 1950-53. Joe's professional career as an aircraft maintenance technician with Northwest Airlines spanned 36 years. He was President of the I.A.M. local lodge 1833. As a very active resident of Eagan, he served as Chairman of the Eagan Planning Commission, was a member of the Eagan Airport Commission, Park Committee and their Civic Association. In retirement, he volunteered at the Minnesota Zoo for 25 years. Mass of Christian burial 10:30 AM on Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Church of St. Peter, 1405 Sibley Memorial Hwy., Mendota. VISITATION one hour prior at church. Interment following at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
