PAMELA JEAN "PJ" KASS

Was born on December 3, 1946 in Sioux City, Iowa, the daughter of Donald and Beverly (Borland) Kass. She graduated from Heelan High School and attended St. Theresa's College in Winona, MN; and graduated from Briar Cliff College in Sioux City. She was united in marriage to Dean Fahrendorf on July 25, 1970 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in Sioux City. They settled and raised their family in the Twin Cities area. She was a 1st grade teacher, homemaker and daycare assistant. PJ passed away near Brewster, MN on Friday, July 19, 2013 at the age of 66 years, 7 months and 16 days. PJ was a member of St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Eagan. Her passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren and she enjoyed quilting with her sister-in-law "sister", Madonna, as well as arts and crafts and painting. She also loved caring for dogs and all animals. PJ is survived by her 4 children, John (Kristin) Fahrendorf of Eagan, MN, Kara (Todd) Fahrendorf Bennett of Apple Valley, MN (children: Tyler, Annika, Avery, and Andrew), Britt (Aaron) Bauer of Kenyon, MN (children: Molly and Noah) and Matthew (Sara) Fahrendorf of Apple Valley, MN (child: Ashley); her parents, Donald & Beverly Kass; her 3 brothers, Roger (Madonna) Kass of Hinton, IA, David Kass of Lenexa, KS and Thomas (Deborah) Kass of Overland Park, KS. PJ was preceded in death by her grandparents. Memorial Mass 10:30AM Friday, July 26th at the CHURCH OF ST. JOHN NEUMANN, 4030 Pilot Knob Rd. @ Deerwood Dr., Eagan with a Gathering 1 hr. prior to the Mass at church. Inurnment Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights. In lieu of flowers memorials preferred to Feed My Starving Children of Eagan or the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center in Roseville.
