As the eldest of the neices and nephews,I believe I can express what a great example of an Aunt was our Auntie Mary. Not only was she a feisty replica of her mom in some ways, but she always had her arms and house open wide; an endearing and kind thing to say even if she had a criticism. I feel honored to remember her as babysitter to our large family, and in turn, being allowed to care for Peter and Mary's little girls. Such an example of loving companions were they, for 53 years. I believe most of the cousins would agree: we will miss those twinkly bright blue Irish eyes all the rest of our days.
