SORRY TO HEAR OF ED ADAMEK PASSING AWAY. I FLEW WITH ED A FEW TIMES AS COPILOT AND HE WAS ONE OF THE GOOD GUYS TO FLY WITH. EXCELLENT PILOT AND A GENTLEMAN. SEMPER FI TO AN OLD MARINE.

Don, I'm sorry to hear of your loss. It was always fun for me to hang out with you older Scouts, and thought it was fun your Dad always called me "Bruce"! He was a true gentleman.

Flew as a second officer with Ed on one of my first trips after starting with Northwest. Remember him well and have thought of him often over the years. A true gentleman.

Ed Adamek was one of my favorite Marines and Northwest Airlines pilots. He did not try to 'Lord it' over his crew, but there was never any doubt about who was in charge. About as approachable a guy as any with whom I have worked. Ed's aviating skills, headwork and situational awareness were well above the norm. He carried himself well, and was a credit to our profession. Semper Fi and Blue Skies as you Fly West Ed.

While working at Northwest Airlines I had the privilege of flying as copilot with Ed affectionally know as "Cochise." Ed was first of all a wonderful aviator skilled in his profession. Part of this was his calm domineer and warm smile. He maintained a great sense of humor during times when others might not. A true gentleman at all times. He set an example for all to follow. He shall be missed.
