Katherine McDANIEL Obituary

(August 21, 1917 - May 11, 2015) Age 97, of Rosemount, Minnesota, passed away May 11, 2015. Born in Athabasca, Alberta, Canada. Recruited by the All American Girls Professional Baseball League to be a catcher for the Kenosha Comets in 1943 and 1944. She left professional baseball to marry the love of her life, Ray McDaniel. They married on May 21, 1945 in Corpus Christi Texas and eventually settled in Rosemount, Minnesota. They raised two boys, Raymond and Robert. Kay will always be remembered for showing others love and kindness, and calling everyone "dear". Survived by husband Ray and son Robert (Rebecca), as well as other family and friends. Celebration of Life Friday May 15 at 11:00 AM at Church of St. Joseph, 13900 Biscayne Ave. W., Rosemount. Visitation one hour prior to service. Interment at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
